Lauren Belasco

Owner/ Director

Lauren Belasco is an alumni of Fabulous Feet. She is a graduate of Rowan University where she received a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Elementary Education, and a dance minor. While in college Lauren was the president and member of Dance Extensions, a modern dance company. Lauren received the Bryna G. Goldhaft Dance Award, which recognizes artistic excellence and contributions to the dance program. Lauren was an advanced company member of Uniting Colleges Through Tap for 4 years and a member of "Take It Away Dance '' a Philadelphia based tap company. Lauren continues to take Tap classes to advance her training.

Morgan O'Shea

Owner/ Director

Morgan O’Shea was a student at Ms. Doreen’s Fabulous Feet starting at the age of 3. Throughout her time there, she performed in numerous Nutcracker Suites. She was on the competition team from age four on, where she won numerous competition titles. Morgan attended the Rockette Summer Intensive twice. Morgan attended Stockton University where she graduated with a degree in Health Sciences and a minor in dance. She was the captain of Stockton’s Dance Team where they competed at regional competitions and at the National UDA competition in Disney World, Florida. At Stockton, she had the chance to work with professional choreographers and companies allowing her to expand her knowledge and grow as a dancer. Morgan is also a Graduate of NYU with a degree in Occupational Therapy and currently works at Jersey City Medical Center.

Meet the Team

Jessica Appling

Jess grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and has recently relocated to New Jersey from Chicago. She started dancing at the age of three and emerged into the competition world at age 10. Over the years Jess has trained with and danced alongside Jason Samuel Smith, Lady Di Walker, the cast of STOMP and Chicago, and many others. She is an energetic dance professional with over 16 years of teaching experience in multiple disciplines and various ages. She is proficient in various styles, including, tap, jazz, lyrical,contemporary, and strength and conditioning and has extensive experience working with children and adults with special needs. Jess is also an adjudicator and director for One Beat Dance Brands which houses Beyond the Stars, Breakout, Groove and Reverb dance competitions.

Luka Appelbaum

Luka Gabriel Appelbaum is a New York–based dance artist and choreographer. He holds a BFA in Modern Dance and Choreography with a minor in Arts Management from Marymount Manhattan College. Luka has performed works by esteemed choreographers such as Andrea Miller, Bill T. Jones, Martha Graham, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, Pedro Ruiz, Donterreo Culp, Karen Gayle and more. He had performed at iconic venues including Chelsea Factory, Playwrights Horizons, and The Joyce Theatre with the Martha Graham Dance Company and NYCDA. Outside of Marymount Luka received tutelage from Gallim School of Movement, American Repertory Ballet, and Koin & Co where he later went on to do some teaching and administrative work. Luka brings curiosity and conviction into every space he enters all while somehow maintaining a chaotic sense of humor and proper alignment.
